JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for supporting the facilities biomedical equipment and/or clinical and non-clinical systems through safety inspections, scheduled preventive maintenance, calibration, unscheduled corrective maintenance, and projects.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Associates Degree in Biomedical or Electronics Technology or equivalent required (e.g MilitaryBMET Training) .

Six months related experience in servicing Biomedical Equipment and systems or successful completion of a Biomedical internship at The Penn State Hershey Medical Center required.

Familiar with the basic hand and power tools normally consistent with the field.

Experience in the operation of various electronic and mechanical test equipment (i.e. multimeters, electrical safety analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, simulators, etc.).

Strong customer services skills.

Strong oral and written communications skills.

Good initiative, ingenuity, leadership and analytical capabilities.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 250 pounds.

Basic computer skills preferred.
