JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible to lead and direct the activities of inpatient pharmacists and inpatient manager(s); act as a resource to pharmacy staff as well as the staff of other departments; and to plan, develop and implement new programs/procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of pharmacy services.Work collaboratively with members of pharmacy leadership to meet the goals of the department and the organization.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Either (A) Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD plus 7 years job related experience required, OR PGY2 Pharmacy Residency in Health System Pharmacy Administration, Masters Degree in Hospital Pharmacy, Business Administration or Healthcare Administration plus 5 years job related experience required. Pennsylvania registration in Pharmacy or eligibility required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES QUALIFICATIONS:

Excellent communication skills, project management skills, and decision making skills required.

Ability to analyze data and identify trends required.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access and PowerPoint applications required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

ASHP accredited residency preferred.
