Hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
Responsible to develop and implement resources used to assess and improve the psychological and emotional well-being for all physicians employed by Penn State Health. This includes residents, fellows, instructors, physician faculty and clinical psychologists.
The Office of Physician Wellbeing will serve physicians by: Promoting and supporting personal health (prevention and healthy behaviors); Promoting physician connectivity by creating an environment that prioritizes and creates venues for fostering peer support; Community building and colleagueship; Emphasizing work-life integration; Offering training in personal resilience and mindfulness; Aligning personal values within work units, departments and the organization; Promoting well-being by ensuring protected time with patients, and allocate support staff to achieve physician skill-task alignment.
Master’s or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Organizational Psychology, Counseling or Social Work required.
Previous experience in the development and implementation of wellness and mental health prevention and awareness programs required.
5years of applicable experience required as a licensed Psychologist, Organizational Psychologist, Mental Health Counselor or Social Worker
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Ability to develop policies and procedures.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
