JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for daily oversight of the contracting and procurement functions in a manner that leverages our Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) and aligns with our strategic imperatives. It includes managing the purchase of material, equipment and supplies according to established University, Hospital and Department policies, procedures and guidelines for cost quality and delivery under the direction of the Senior Director of Supply Chain Operations. This role also will develop and implement policies and procedures that guide or support service, assess and improve department performance and ensure the continuing education of the department staff.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain or Healthcare related field or equivalent experience required.

Five (5) years of hospital management experience in either an administrative, financial or Supply Chain/Materials Management leadership capacity required.

Three (3) years minimum supervisory experience

Two (2) years in Procurement and Contracting role

Experience with analyzing bids, contracts, legal documents, RFPs, and RFIs required.

Experience managing projects from conceptualization to implementation required.

Understanding of group purchasing organizations structure and function required.

Extensive experience with Microsoft Word & Excel, Data Base systems is required

Experience with developing KPIs and contract compliance required

Expertise in one or more areas of commodity responsibility such as Information Systems, Facilities Management, Business Services, Medical Surgical, and Basic Science Research and Clinical Labs Operations required.

Experience with Value Analysis required.

Expertise in integrated business process improvement, value stream mapping and total cost of ownership, gap analysis and return on investment required.

CRMP preferred.
