Under general supervision, plan and evaluate complex networks and associated support systems. Make recommendations for resources and procedural changes required to maintain and/or expand service levels. Provide highly skilled technical assistance in network analysis, planning, engineering, and architecture. Plan and implement computer systems to support network operations, management, and security functions. Assess enterprise needs and perform feasibility studies for medium to large-sized projects. Develop technical standards and interface applications. Evaluate new products. Coordinate with vendors to identify and purchase software, hardware and cabling. Develop support procedures and create user and technical documentation. Resolve network problems.
Either: (a) Bachelor's degree plus four additional years of related experience or (b) eight years total of related experience.

Demonstrable experience and communications skills associated with functioning in customer-facing, consultative roles.
Proficient to advanced skills in working with multi-protocol BGP and “virtual routing and forwarding” (VRF) technologies.
Operational and configuration experience in managing advanced enterprise firewalls, data center infrastructure, and various network management platforms.
