JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for performing the tasks associated with controlling inventoried supplies. This includes stocking of bin locations, placing charge stickers on chargeable items, requisitioning items from inventory to user departments, and checking stock items for proper counts and rotation of out dates.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or GED required. 1 year related experience required. Experience in a materials management / stores clerk environment preferred. Must have basic computer skills and basic printing knowledge. Experience in a printing environment is preferred, especially in the digital reproduction area and experience in bindery operations. Ability to perform advanced computer work is preferred. Must have knowledge of variety of supplies and materials handled by inventory: knowledge of stores methods and procedures, including inventory, record keeping and purchasing and requisition procedures: ability to determine quality of goods against prescribed specifications; make arithmetic computations accurately; keep stock records and prepare simple reports; and ability to work without direct supervision. Must be able to pass a pre-employment test with basic math, especially how to read a ruler and convert to decimals. PHYSCIAL REQUIREMENTS*: Able to stand & walk frequently. Able to lift/carry 0-20 frequently; 11-50 lbs occasionally. Able to push/pull 0-20 lbs frequently; 21-75 lbs occasionally. Able to reach constantly.
