JOB SUMMARY:

The Cath Lab Technologist is responsible for all aspects of care related to adult inpatients or outpatients undergoing procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab. Applies knowledge of growth and development to perform detailed assignments/interventions. Provides consistent care based on the changing physical and psychosocial needs, unique to the patient. Assist the interventionist in performing invasive procedures. Documents consistently and comprehensively on hemodynamic monitoring system.

Education:

·High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) Required

·Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Program preferred.

Experience:

·12 months prior experience in Cardiac Cath Lab preferred.

License/Certification:

·RCIS or equivalent certification within one year of hire or transfer into position required.

·American Heart Association “BLS” Provider Required
